The artist enters the frame and draws and releases an arrow from a bow. With a series of quick edits this process is repeated until the action becomes a rhythmic precession of archery, drawing our attention to the practice of skill. The focus of the scene on the archer’s mouth is intended to further make us aware of the placement of the bowstring to his lips, sharing conventions with a cinematic kiss.
